Dalton named Honorable Mention for 2012 Super Centex Team

Dalton, a Boys Ranch resident and senior at MCH, was an honorable mention selection for the Waco Tribune-Herald’s 2012 Super Centex Team for six-man football. Dalton, quarterback for the Bulldogs, led the team to finish with its highest ranking ever.

“Dalton was a great leader both on and off the field,” said Matt Rodgers, head coach of the MCH Bulldogs. “This was the toughest schedule that MCH has faced and we lost to two state champions by only a combined seven points. Without his leadership the team would not have been as successful as they were.”

Dalton set both the MCH passing yards and passing touchdowns record with 1,947 yards and 30 touchdowns.  He also had 505 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns. Dalton set the record for the most total yards with 2,452 and combined touchdowns with 43.

Waco Campus Gets New Street Signs

We are sure you have noticed the new street signs that have been strategically placed around the Waco campus.  The Methodist Children’s Home Risk Management team felt the signs would make it easier for visitors and emergency personnel to find their way around campus.

The street names are Sunshine Street, Heritage Trail, Bulldog Drive, Faith Way, and Legacy Lane.  Bob Luedke, director of security services, worked with The City of Waco Emergency Management authorities to ensure the signs were compatible with 911.  Tim Fedro, building administrator, and his staff worked hard to break through a lot of rock to set the poles.  MCH is grateful for the effort of all employees who contributed to these additions to campus.
