Performing Ensemble Packs Chapel for Recital
Our campus school’s performing ensemble showcased its talents at the Harrell Chapel on Wednesday, November 17 for proud staff, administration and peers. Chapel seats were in high demand as the performance began.
Middle school and high school students owned the stage as they sang solos and as a choir. Some of the tunes on the program included “Will You Teach Me,” “America, the Beautiful,” and “Beautiful Dreamer”.
Art students prepared a banner that was held during the reading of “Oh! The Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss. The reading was dedicated to Cristy Cunningham, our University of Texas Charter School’s principal.
If you missed out on the performance here are some photos from the event.

MCH Athletics Update
The night air was cold, but the Bulldogs turned on the heat during our last home football game, Friday, October 29. MCH claimed victory over Fort Worth THESA with a final score of 65-42. To add to the excitement of the night, the Home had its first Homecoming. MCH Homecoming king and queen were crowned during half-time. Javen and Tammika, royalty of the evening, were beaming with Bulldog pride as they smiled for the camera.
It’s been a busy fall with athletics in full swing! Our volleyball team made it to the state tournament in San Antonio October 28-30. We lost by a slim margin, but our team did a great job this year. Two of our players were recognized for All State Honors. Victoria made Second Team All State and Erica received an Honorable Mention for the 2010 volleyball season. Congratulations ladies!
Our basketball teams are geared up and ready for the season. The girls’ basketball team had their first game of the year Tuesday, November 9. The boys’ team will tip-off the season on Friday, November 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the MCH gym.
As our basketball season starts, our football season is coming to an end. Our team made it to the playoffs this year! The Bulldogs will be playing in the quarter finals against West Columbia Charter in Buckholts this Saturday at 1 p.m. We hope to see you there!
