Bobby Gilliam recieves lifetime recognition

Bobby Gilliam, who retired as president of Methodist Children's Home March 31, recently was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his life work in child care. The award was a part of the opening sessions at the Coalition for Residential Education (CORE) national conference.

Following is a picture of Gilliam receiving the award (second from left). Gilliam was joined by the current Executive Director Scott Hart (left) from Mooseheart, where Gilliam served as executive director for three years. Also pictured left to right are Linda Gilliam, CORE Founder and Executive Director Heidi Goldsmith, and Methodist Children's Home Vice President for Residential Services Moe Dozier.

Our congratulations to Gilliam and his family on this prestigious award. Gilliam's contributions to residential education at Methodist Children's Home, and agencies across the nation, will not soon be forgotten.
