Tim Brown Brings Message of Hope to MCH Students

Warmly received as a message of hope for students, Tim Brown, president of Methodist Children’s Home, spoke during our worship service on Sunday, August 22, in Harrell Memorial Chapel. In his message, Mr. Brown encouraged our youth to seek strength and wisdom from God’s Word as they begin the new school year.

One of the most moving parts of the service was when Mr. Brown quoted Marianne Williamson from her book, “A Return to Love.”

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.”

Here are a few photos from Sunday morning worship.
